Tour Plan

Day 01 Puno - Uros Floating Islands - Amantani Island (Overnight Homestay)
  • 07:45 AM – Hotel Pickup and Port Departure Your journey begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Puno to transfer to the main lake port. Here, we board our motorized tourist vessel and set sail across the blue waters of Lake Titicaca.

  • 08:30 AM – Guided Visit to the Uros Floating Islands Our first stop is the ancient community of Uros. You will step onto artificial islands handcrafted entirely from totora reeds. Our guide will explain how the families construct these floating platforms, their ancient history, and their unique way of life. You will also have the opportunity to take an optional ride on a traditional reed boat.

  • 10:00 AM – Navigation to Amantani Island We board our boat once more and navigate deeper into Lake Titicaca for about 2.5 hours toward Amantani Island.

  • 12:30 PM – Warm Welcome and Family Lunch Upon reaching Amantani, the local families will welcome us warmly at the harbor. You will be assigned to a host family who will guide you to their authentic home. A delicious, freshly prepared traditional lunch featuring local crops (potatoes, quinoa, and cheese) will be served.

  • 03:30 PM – Sunset Hike to Pachatata or Pachamama Temples In the afternoon, we gather as a group to hike up to the island's highest peaks to explore the pre-Inca ceremonial temples of Pachatata (Father Earth) or Pachamama (Mother Earth). At an altitude of 4,150 meters, you will witness one of the most spectacular sunsets over the vast horizon of Lake Titicaca.

  • 06:30 PM – Dinner and Traditional Cultural Celebration After hiking back down, you will enjoy a cozy home-cooked dinner with your family. Later, the community invites all travelers to a local meeting hall for a traditional "Peña" celebration.
