Tour Plan

Day 01 Arequipa to Chivay via Pampa Cañahuas and Hot Springs

We pick you up from your hotel to start our journey through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve. Along the way, we stop to photograph wild vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas in their natural habitat. We will cross the highest point of our route at Patapampa Pass ( $4,910\text{ meters}$ ), a spectacular natural viewpoint over the volcanic mountain range.

In the afternoon, we descend into the town of Chivay to check into the hotel. Afterward, you will visit the soothing local volcanic hot springs to relax in the thermal waters, followed by an optional traditional dinner with a live folklore dance show.

Day 2 Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint and Return to Arequipa

We start very early with a hotel breakfast before heading out to the incredible Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. This is the prime time of day to marvel at the sheer depth of the canyon and watch the magnificent Andean Condors glide gracefully on the morning thermal winds.

On our way back to Chivay, we will stop at traditional colonial villages like Maca and Yanque, observing beautiful pre-Inca agricultural terraces. After lunch in Chivay, we board our comfortable transport back to Arequipa, arriving in the early evening.
