Step 1: Hotel Pickup and Journey to the Quarries: We begin our half-day adventure by picking you up directly from your hotel in Arequipa. Leaving the city behind, we drive towards the district of Cerro Colorado while enjoying stunning views of the Misti and Chachani volcanoes.

Step 2: Exploring the Añashuayco Sillar Quarry: Arriving at the grand Añashuayco Quarry, you will step into an impressive landscape of massive white volcanic stone canyons. Here, you will see master stonecutters showcasing ancestral carving techniques. You will also get to see the famous mega-carvings sculpted directly into the stone walls, including the front of the Church of the Company of Jesus.

Step 3: Trekking into Culebrillas Canyon & Petroglyphs: Next, we take a short drive to the untouched ravine of Culebrillas. We will enjoy a light trek inside a narrow, wind-carved canyon. At the end of the walk, we will discover mysterious ancient petroglyphs carved centuries ago by the pre-Inca Wari culture.
